Code of Ethics for the Transplant Collective

1. Respect for Missions:

All organizations joining the Transplant Collective are expected to respect the unique missions of other member organizations as well as their own. This mutual respect fosters a culture of collaboration and shared purpose.

2. No Poaching of Members:

Organizations shall not engage in the recruitment or solicitation of members from other organizations within the Collective. Instead, the focus should be on fostering partnerships and leveraging each organization’s strengths for the greater good.

3. Collaboration Over Competition:

The Collective aims to unite organizations under a common goal: to serve the transplant community as a cohesive team. Members are encouraged to collaborate, pool resources, and amplify each other’s efforts to achieve more together than they could alone.

4. Focus on the Transplant Community:

The primary mission of the Transplant Collective is to enhance the lives of transplant recipients, donors, and their families. Efforts should aim to:

Provide increased resources and support.

Advocate for the development of new medications and longer graft survival studies.

Improve follow-up care for both donors and recipients.

5. Advocacy as One Unified Voice:

By working together under one umbrella, the Transplant Collective will have greater influence to: Rally the community to take action.

Advocate for legislative changes and push for bills to be signed.

Ensure Washington and policymakers address the needs of those impacted by transplantation, especially those who have been overlooked.

6. Commitment to the Mission:

All member organizations must commit to advancing the Collective’s mission of creating positive change for the transplant community. By doing so, we ensure our united voice is powerful, focused, and impactful.
